Description

I've been very impatient to post this picture. Let me introduce Abigail to the Family.

What is her story ? Unfortunately for humanity, I didn't had to write it : www.people.com/article/african… (and I'm sure nobody would have believed it if I wrote that..)
After all these horrors she's now safe in a foreign country. Still uncertain about her future, but safe.

And because I was torn between the two versions, you can check the other one in my scraps : Happy Abigail by excilion

Instant fav - and I had read that story when it was still new.

The former Lutheran bishop of Namibia, Zephania Kameeta (an albino himself), once told his story: When he was born, the family decided to get him killed at once, because he had a double stigma: He had a twin - and twins are regarded as a bad omen in his tribe - and he was albino (and his twin was not). Why did he survive? Because his grandma, at that time the oldest person of the family, was Christian. As the most senior members of the clan have to decide, his grandma was in the position to save him. "So I had the strong feeling from early on in my life, that I owe my life to this religion" was his final sentence. He went into politics as minister - to change things faster.
It is happening for a long time and is happening at a lot of places all over Africa. Change is coming - but slowly.
